JOSEPH RUBIN
BIOGRAPHY Joseph Rubin holds four academic degrees: liberal arts college (Columbia University) law (Harvard University), international relations (Columbia University). and political science (Columbia University) and was awarded a Fullbright Scholarship to Central and South America to study economic integration. Today he continues to be active in corporate law starting new ventures,and structuring international transactions. As an international business consultant he advises several governments and companies on economic and legal matters. On the academic side, he has spent over twenty-five years as a professor at Columbia University teaching courses in law, business management, entrepreneurship, and international privatization. As founder and director of an international executive training institute, he still conducts management training programs in Russia and China and the USA.
All the while, from Shanghai to Moscow to Monte Carlo. from Las Vegas to the Riviera to the bay of Napoli, Mr. Rubin has actively pursued his passion for the arts. He has performed professionally as a musician and has appeared in movies. And his camera lens follows everywhere recording his reactions and impressions. He has been immersed in photography for over thirty years, and for several years was employed by Columbia University as a University Photographer.
Mr. Rubin's photographs have appeared in numerous publications, including the New York Times, Inter-American Magazine, Americas Magazine, and university publications. He has exhibited in galleries including:Columbia University and Long Island University (New York). the Pan American Gallery (New York). Atrium Exhibitions (New York). Colegno Gallery (New York), An American Craftsman Gallery (New York),Good News Gallery (Connecticut) Inter-American Gallery (Guatemala). Brazil Today (Brazil); Museo Brady (Mexico), Queretaro Museo de Arte (Mexico), Sisal Gallery of San Miguel de Allende (Mexico), Artlifefortheworld (Italy), La Corte Arte Contemporanea (Italy) . A number of his photographs in large format are on permanent display in office building lobbies, retail stores and corporate and professional offices. His work is periodically sold at art auctions at the Aguttes Galleries in Paris, France
Mr. Rubin makes his home in New York City where he has just finished a photo book on his ‘Reflections". (88 pages, 102 photographs)
He is scheduled for solo exhibitions in 2010, inItaly ( Florence),. Mexico (San Miguel de Allende), China (Beijing), and New York City.
